Recap from August
August saw me travelling to Gdansk, Poland to host a Leica model photography workshop for German photographer, Alex. If you follow me on YouTube you’ve probably seen the cool apartment we had and some of the models.
If you love film, I’m still using film cameras on my various photoshoots and hope to finally start developing again in September. (After all my recent testing of modern autofocus L mount lenses I can’t wait to get back to something more creative!)
No wedding booking for August. I still need to blog the last 6 or so weddings so all that to come as I find time. One thing I rarely mention is my paid client photoshoots. I will do a blog post and share some sample images of the male and female sitters I work with.
In addition to my free eBook there is a special non-yet-mentioned accelerator pack that i’ve been working on. See the last page of the eBook for a discount code. Available soon! (Patreons enjoy a discount).
Zoom calls are still proving very popular. I’ve changed the page to “Leica support” as that is what I do 99.9% of the time. If you’re new to Leica or are having teething problems you might find it useful.
New! Leica Repair Directory (I need your help!)
I thought I’d help the wider Leica community by setting up a Leica repair centre page/ directory. (It’s a question I get asked a lot so I thought why not answer it on a grand scale). I invite you to visit the page and recommend your favourite Leica repair shop (with feedback) in the comments section. (I will then paste the info into the page layout). Thanks in advance!
New! Leica YouTubers Directory + Quiz!
On a similar Leica community theme I setup a page to list all the best Leica YouTuber channels that you recommended.
Blog Refresh.. Continues
I’m still changing things to this blog most days. In addition to the new tabs (Products, Services, Reviews, All-Content) the next big project is a better store interface for presets etc. Wish me luck!
Photobooks
There are still a few photobooks left if you’d like to get a copy. Softback A5 size zine style books, 40 model photos per book, all shot on B&W film.
New eBook is ready!
My free eBook is finished and planned to go out this weekend for all those who have already registered their interest.

Patreon Photo Critique Sessions Begin
If you’ve seen my Patreon welcome video I mention girls and Leica but it is much more than that. We enjoyed our first group monthly photo critique session via Zoom where members get to present their work.
Thomas went first and shared his 5 favourite images and received valuable feedback (who as a group bring a broad range of experience and areas of expertise). I learnt a lot and it wasn’t even me presenting!
If you’d love to be part of a photography community I think you’d enjoy our Patreon even if you only dial in for the 2 monthly 1-hour calls.
New! Lightroom Presets for Leica Q
After buying the Leica Q camera I needed to make Lightroom presets for my own needs. Presets now available, see the photos and full blog post.

I hope to run a London photowalk if the dates work for those on the mailing list. I’ll be running an additional 1:1 workshop with a photographer in the UK where we’ll photograph a popular model from a previous workshop. This time I’m definitely shooting film!

Happy to travel worldwide to run photography workshops. See above for some of the planned countries and join the mailing list to submit your interest.

Some advantages of meeting you in your city include (1) you don’t need to travel (2) I will give you model contacts in your city that you can keep in touch with after I leave. This has worked well for photographers in the past. The flipside of that is, if you rather come to the UK for a London workshop you have the excuse for a holiday!
