Dear Matt,
I have seen that you have an old Leica, just like mine and both about the same age. The number on my camera is 28476 which was made between 1927 and 1930. The camera has a unique history, having survived 4 years with my father in the
Royal Canadian Navy on escort vessels in the St. Laurance River, The Gulf of St. Laurance and The North Atlantic.
I intend to sell the camera in the next few months, and I am hoping that you can help me with that endeavour.
My name is Ross Bowyer and I live in Dundas, Ontario, Canada, phone number is 905-9617383.
Please, if you are interested do contact me at your earliest convenience.
Hi Ross, great! Beautiful old cameras. I enjoy using mine quite a bit. Older Leica are not super valuable (not like Leica M cameras). I recommend you contact a Leica store/ used camera store in Canada or the US and see if they will offer to buy it from you. (Check eBay for approximate prices). Best of luck. Matt
I always enjoy these Leica updates because they are a great way to keep up with what is happening in the photography world without having to search through everything myself. The mix of new reviews, photography gear, and community updates makes this a useful read for anyone who enjoys shooting with Leica cameras.
