After buying the Hasselblad H3D-39 digital medium format camera (39MP CCD sensor) I couldn’t find my old presets from when I used to own the Hasselblad H3D-31 some years ago. I’m completely lost without LR presets when it comes to editing so I set to work to make a new preset suite to develop my images in Lightroom. Of around 10 preset versions I developed over the last 6 months or so those above were the top 5 that I used the most.
B&W1 (Basic) and Col1 (Basic) are great for most of my photoshoots but I found I used the other presets under certain conditions. I found I used B&W2 more with tanned skin and Col2 to warm up skin tones. For sunset shoots I use Col3 for almost every photo. Example photo below was edited with Col3 –
For each photo session I use the above presets as my starting point. Hopefully that will be enough but in some instances I adjust the sliders for the situation (lighting, skin, colours etc) then paste the preset-edit across all images.
